WarpRead is free to use and asks nothing of you. These are the terms that come with that.
Last updated 9 September 2026
By using WarpRead you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. There is no account to close and nothing to cancel — you can simply stop.
Everything on WarpRead is free. There is no subscription, no paywall and no trial. The tools, courses and guides are provided as they are, and may change or be withdrawn without notice.
Use the tools for your own studying, teaching or work, including in a classroom. Link to any page. Quote from the articles with attribution and a link back. Export or print anything the tools produce — those outputs are yours.
You may not republish the written content wholesale, scrape the site to rebuild it elsewhere, or use automated means to place unreasonable load on it. The library proxy in particular is there to serve readers, not bulk downloaders — take books from Project Gutenberg directly if you need them in volume.
WarpRead claims no rights over anything you open, paste or type. As explained in the privacy policy, your documents are processed in your browser and your work saves to your own browser storage. We never receive it, so we could not claim rights over it even if we wanted to.
The flip side is that we cannot recover it either. Clearing your browser data deletes your work permanently. Export anything you would be upset to lose.
The classic texts in the library come from Project Gutenberg and are in the public domain in the United States. Copyright terms differ between countries, and a work that is public domain in the US may still be in copyright where you are. Checking that is your responsibility, not ours.
Project Gutenberg is a registered trademark of the Project Gutenberg Literary Archive Foundation. WarpRead is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Project Gutenberg.
Cover images are supplied by Project Gutenberg. Decorative photography is used under the Pexels licence.
The courses and guides summarise published research on learning, memory and reading. They are educational material, not personalised advice. Study techniques that work well in a controlled study may not suit your subject, your circumstances or the way you learn, and reading speed claims in particular vary enormously between individuals and text types.
Some material touches on exam stress and concentration. It is not medical or psychological advice, and it is not a substitute for speaking to a doctor, a counsellor or your institution’s support service. If you are struggling, please talk to someone qualified.
WarpRead is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. We do not promise that the site will be available, that it will be free of errors, or that any particular technique will improve your results.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, WarpRead is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site — including lost work, lost time, or decisions made on the basis of the material published here. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
WarpRead carries third-party advertising, which is what keeps it free. We do not control which ads are shown and their appearance is not an endorsement. What advertising means for your data is set out in the privacy policy.
These terms may be updated. The date at the top of this page shows when they last were. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
