An EPUB file is the standard ebook format — a compressed package of HTML, CSS, and media files that ebook readers interpret as a formatted book. Most free public domain ebooks from Project Gutenberg and Standard Ebooks are available in EPUB format.
warpread.app supports EPUB upload directly in the browser, with no account, no conversion tool, and no server upload. Your file is parsed locally in your browser and read through the RSVP interface.

Where to get free EPUB files
Standard Ebooks (standardebooks.org)
The highest quality free EPUB files for public domain books. Standard Ebooks proofreads, formats, and designs every book — the EPUB quality is substantially better than raw Project Gutenberg files. Currently approximately 800 titles.
How to download: Go to standardebooks.org, find a book, and click the EPUB download button. No account required.
Project Gutenberg (gutenberg.org)
The largest catalogue of free public domain books — 70,000+ titles. EPUB quality varies but is adequate for most titles.
How to download: Go to gutenberg.org, search for a title, and select "EPUB (with images)" or "EPUB3" from the download options.
Open Library (openlibrary.org)
Open Library allows borrowing of both public domain and copyrighted books. Public domain books can be borrowed indefinitely; copyrighted books are available for 14-day loans.
How to download: Search for a title at openlibrary.org, click "Borrow," and select the EPUB download option.
Privacy note
warpread processes EPUB files entirely in your browser using JavaScript. No content from uploaded files is transmitted to warpread's servers. Your reading data stays on your device.

Q: How do I upload an EPUB to warpread? A: Go to warpread.app, drag and drop your EPUB file onto the upload area (or click to browse for the file), wait a few seconds for parsing, and start reading. Your file is processed entirely in your browser; nothing is sent to a server.
Q: What's the best browser EPUB reader? A: warpread.app is the best browser EPUB reader for RSVP speed reading — free, no account, processes files locally.
